Software Components
Reactive Search software components come in three different forms:
Microsoft Excel 2007 add-ins
There is nothing easier than selecting a few cells on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, press a button on the toolbar, and letting the Reactive Search solver find solutions to your problems.
Standalone applications
Some problems cannot be easily expressed as Microsoft Excel formulae. Therefore the Reactive Search optimization techniques are also available as standalone applications where the problem can be specified in a more tailored format.
Programming libraries
Reactive Search solvers are also available as dynamic libraries for a complete integration with your information system. The libraries can be included and extend your software by adding the power of Reactive Search.
Microsoft Excel 2007 integration
The easiest way for using the Reactive Search optimization is to define a function to be minimized or maximized in your excel spreadsheet. All the cells related to your function, along with their variability ranges, are then selected and the "Reactive Search Optimization" button in the "Add-ins" ribbon pressed. Once the button is pressed, you can tweak some parameters (if needed) and solve your problem:
